Tours - Glengariff & Garnish Island

Our Kenmare Coach and Cab guided tour heads twoards Glengariff. We stop at Molly Galvin’s historical homestead. Our next stop in Glengariff allows a visit to Garnish Island. This is a short boat trip of 15 minutes passing seal Island on the way. Developed in the early 1900s as a private garden and transferred to the people of Ireland in 1953, it an ideal garden for a mini-walking tour.

With Bantry to our left we continue on towards Adrigole leaving the Ring of Beara behind and continuing up through the Caha mountains and Healy Pass.

Below us the Lauragh valley and Glenmore Lake spread out like a piece of landscape art. Leaving the mountains at Lauragh we pass the very accessible Direen gardens. To complete our day tour we travel back to Kenmare via the coast road meeting few cars or buses, with the Kenmare Bay and the Ring of Kerry Peninsula to our left.

Tours leave from outside Kenmare tourist office at 10am. All tours are subject to numbers.
